Like all Portland, there are several good walks. Head north along the coast, past the viewing point at Cheyney Weares, along to the beach at Church Ope and then then up past Pensylvania Castle to Portland Museum. Or head south, again along the coast, to Portland Bill and all that area has to offer or across the fields to Westcliff.
There is only the one pub in Southwell, the Eight Kings, that serves food at lunch and in the evenings.Read less
