9 Sidon Mews is a fantastic holiday cottage with stylish interior and sunny garden. The property benefits from two living areas and has four bedrooms. You have sea views over Portland Harbour and the 18 miles of Chesil beach is just a short walk away. The National Sailing Academy is also a short walk away and offers world class facilities for those that want to go sailing or windsurfing. The harbour itself is home to many water sports including diving, kite surfing and even stand up paddle boarding. Portland has much to offer those that want to be outside and you will find a weeks stay is not long enough.
The accommodation at 9 Sidon Mews comprises of a living area on the ground floor with views to the sea and furnished with a corner sofa, armchairs, TV with Youview, DVD player and WiFi. There is a second living area on the lower ground floor with access to the garden, log burning stove, two sofas and an armchair and a Freeview TV. The kitchen is open plan with this living area and is equipped with a double electric oven, halogen hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher with a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room. There is a dining area with table and seating for eight.
There are four bedrooms, two on the first floor and two on the ground floor. The master bedroom is on the first floor and has access to the balcony, a double bed, walk in wardrobe and en-suite with shower cubicle, basin and toilet. Bedroom two is also on the first floor and is a large double that can also be made into two singles if you require it. Bedrooms three and four are on the ground floor and are arranged as a double that can again be made into twin singles if required and a bunk room. The family bathroom is on the ground floor and has a bath with shower over, basin and toilet.
Outside you have a private garden complete with table and chairs and a barbecue. There is a driveway with parking for one car. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.
Castletown, once the gateway to the Naval Dockyard, is today the hub of a rejuvinated area and in the heart of a thriving leisure and watersports industry with plenty of history on hand too. Diving companies, diving shops, Portland Marina with its 560 berths, Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy and SailLaser Weymouth and a short walk further Kitesurfing shop and tuition, wetsuit and drysuit shop, chandlers and one or two places to purchase a yacht!Read more
Whilst all this new development has gone on the history of the area has thankfully remained. Portland Castle is in the heart of Castletown and remains an impressive site. You naturally have Portland Harbour on your doorstep and a strenuous walk up the hill will take you to the High Angle Battery.
