Further down you will see a statue by a local artist titled "The Spirit of Portland" with more great views along Chesil Beach. The walking from Fortuneswell is good but do remember you are on a slope. Therefore, an easy walk one way will be harder on the way back! Walk to the High Angle Battery, an 18th-century gun emplacement. Tout Quarry Nature Reserve and Sculpture Park are opposite the Heights Hotel. Artists have been creating sculptures to leave around the park since 1983. Famous sculptures include the Falling Man by Sir Antony Gormley. Chesil Beach is easily accessible if you fancy a walk along the sea. There are several pubs, restaurants and takeaways all available within Fortuneswell. A short walk to Chiswell gives you many more options to eat out and all within walking distance.
