Bed and Breakfast accommodation in Fortune House, Fortuneswell, Portland. Situated just a short distance from the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Centre makes us an ideal base for visiting sailors and their families.
A bunk bedded room sleeps 2 in a comfortable family home, you can be assured of a friendly welcome, great surroundings, delicious food and as much sailing information as you like – Richard Woof is a local boat builder and has been a very successful international racing dinghy sailor.
Children welcome but more suitable for older children – we often have 2 teenagers staying who come to visit for sailing competitions and we are happy to act as “in loco parentis”. We also host foreign language students in this room at certain times of the year. Also popular for say father and son – sailing together or brothers (we have 2 regular Bermudian brothers who compete in the Olympic Sailing Regattas)
We also offer home-cooked evening meals by prior arrangement @ £7.50 for 2 courses and packed lunches @ £5.00. There is a large covered drying area for sailing kit. Washing machine and tumble drier available to use within the house.
